Infantry Combat

Infantry Combat Rules

Infantry Combat

This is the core ruleset and it contains all the basic mechanics of the game. It will allow you to play small encounters with about 20 units (infantry only) on each side.

We have tried to design these rules to be as simple as possible. The players' challenge will be to develop suitable small unit tactics rather than mastering the ruleset.

Guns

Rules For Guns

Guns

Guns will add some depth to the infantry based skirmishes - they are less mobile but have far more punch. Again we have tried to simplify as much as possible and create a fluid game with tactical challenges.

These rules are an extension to the infantry rules and you will require them as well. They are also the foundation for the tank rules.

Tanks

Tank Rules

Tanks

This is the second version of the tank rules. It has been modified to better represent the difference between armoured vehicles and foot soldiers.

Still, focus remains on the infantry units and tanks will rely on accompanying soldiers. To use tanks, the infantry combat rules as well as the rules for guns are required.

Editor's Notes

Why we did what we did

Editor's Notes

The Final Round rules are sometimes a bit vague or abstract. This was necessary to keep them slim but sometimes may lead to uncertainties. Therefore we have included some of our notes from the design process - you will also find them linked within the online version of the rulesets.

The Editor's Notes is where we tell you, what we thought when we created a certain rule or other element of the game. So whenever you wonder "Why did they do that?" have a look at our notes.

Examples of play

"Tell me and I know; show me and I understand."

Reading the rules you will sometimes ask yourself: "What the hell does that mean?". Although we have tried to stick to an understandable style of writing some issues might need clarfication - and then there's nohing better than a quick example.

Currently, only the infantry combat rules are covered. The examples are also linked within the online rules.
